The Plan of Salvation

GOD’S PART

The great love of God for man (John 3:16) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, as the Saviour (Luke 19:10)  For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

Sent the Holy Spirit as a guide (John 16:13) But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Gave the Gospel as “the power” unto salvation (Romans 1:16) For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Provided atonement by the blood of Christ (Romans 5:9) Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

man’s part

Hear the Gospel. (Romans 10:17)  Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. ( John 8:32) Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Believe the Gospel (Hebrews 11:6) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. ( John 20:31) But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Repent of past sins (Luke 13:3)  I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. (Acts 17:30)  In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

Confess faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:10) For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Matthew 10:32) Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.

Be Baptized (Galatians 3:27) for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. ( Mark 16:16) Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. ( Acts 2:38) …Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Be faithful unto death (Revelation 2:10) Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

GOD has done His part; will you do yours?
